No matter what your Halloween plans are, you are sure to have some hungry ghosts and goblins visiting your home. They will most likely be the hungry type who appreciate copious amounts of snacks. That goes for both little and big monsters! Whether they are real or fake is another argument. Having a preset snack table will allow you to enjoy walking around the neighborhood or watching a spooky movie. Without the worry of prepping food. My local ACME Markets has a great selection of themed candy as well as fun themed treats from the bakery section. They also have Made In- Store guacamole and salsa in the produce department, alone with fresh cut fruits and veggies that are easy to grab and go! Their fresh deli and produce tray offerings are also a great time saver, as they are prepped and ready to go! To save even more time you can take advantage of Acme's Grocery Delivery and Pick Up!

I started with laying down boards on my kitchen table. You can use a series of cutting boards and trays if you do not have colored boards on hand. I have also used cardboard and layered parchment paper on top. Then I placed fake spider webbing throughout the table to give it a more festive feel. I filled the Halloween cups with assorted candy and placed them throughout the table. Then I placed a medium sized orange basket at one end, with clementine oranges spilling out of it to anchor one side. I also filled a plastic Jack-O- Lantern with mini bagels, and them cascade down onto the board, with a red jelly jar. Next to them a bowl of pretzel bites and assorted vegetables. All easy things for little monster hands to grab! On the other side of the table I placed a large wooden tray, to anchor the other end.

On the wooden tray I served the fresh fruit, tortilla chips, guacamole, and salsa that I grabbed from my Acme market. Along with the Halloween themed brownie bites I found in Acme's bakery section. I used a black and white plate, which looked great with yellow and orange icing on the brownie bites! You can also find quality grab ‘n go deli, produce, candy and bakery offerings perfect for Halloween at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket, Star Market, Tom Thumb and Vons. I made sure the spider webs hung off the wooden tray for effect and layered candy in front. Using different plates and containers give the table some texture. The trick is to make sure you are staying with similar colors when using different trays and containers!

Another fun DIY is hallowing out mini pumpkins and using them as containers for dip. You could also use acorn squash as well. Do not forget to save the seeds and roast them with a little bit of sea salt or cinnamon! Start by cutting off the very top of the mini pumpkin. Then score the inside, meaning cut a tic-tac-toe like board into the middle of the pumpkin being careful not to pierce all the way through. This helps to loosen the inside so you can scoop it out. I filled my pumpkins with an easy Pumpkin Tahini dip, recipe included below!

1 15 oz can of pumpkin puree

1/4 cup tahini

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 garlic clove, chopped

1/2 tbsp harissa

2 tbsp olive oil

3/4 tsp salt

1. In a food processor fitted with an S blade, pulse lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and salt together or use a blender , until smooth

2. Add in pumpkin puree, harissa and olive oil. Pulse until combined.
