Back to School Lunch Edit

Let me be clear, I am NOT giving up on summer. However, I do like to plan ahead, so I am SLOWLY getting backpack and lunch supplies ready. We will be at the beach the week before school starts. In order to fully enjoy my time, I want to know I won’t be scrambling around for supplies. I rounded out a quick list of fun things to help make lunchtime more fun. I feel like it is one way I can make sure she smiles at some point during the day. I want her to open up her lunchbox greeted by something good to eat, a note that says I love you, and maybe some silly surprises. I want lunchtime to be just as comforting as dinner time routine. Below are a couple of items I will be using.

Also, I wanted to note that I have been going back and forth about whether or not I feel as though using any kind of plastic is unsafe. I feel like I am falling somewhere in the middle. If it something requires an extreme temperature I will use stainless steel. I am also going to experiment with silicone, but somethings I feel like that stains. I will keep you posted! Make sure to do your own research to figure out what you think is best for your family!

Lunch Box Accessories

Spencer Stainless Steel Bento Box- I bought this for Siena and it fits in Pottery Barn lunchboxes really well. I love that it is stainless steel and easy for her to open!

Unicorn Lunchbox Ice Packs- These are the cutest ice packs I have ever seen. I feel like anything to make the lunchbox more whimsical is a win!

Unicorn Bento Picks- I love using this picks to make eating her fruits and veggies more fun. I feel like using fun accessories like this encourage kids to have fun with eating!

Full Lunchbox Accessories Set- This has everything all in one package! Sandwich cutters, fun picks, little cookie cutters to make foods fun shapes! I feel like I am ready to take on a year of fun lunches with this set.

Bentgo Prep Boxes- I love that these are pretty colors and I can prep days worth of lunch items.

Simple Modern Thermos- Anna and Elsa trump unicorns in this case! But I have always found water bottles and thermos containers for simple modern very reliable.

Fun First Day and Beyond Items

Lunch Box Notes- I like these notes because they are personalized but leave room for you to write your own note. I think your child seeing your handwriting gives them a sense of connection which is so important as they are navigating these days out of the house. It is a way for me to remind her that I am always thinking of her!

Mommy and Me Bracelets- I love that she can look at her bracelet during a tough moment or maybe if she is feeling tired or lonely throughout the day.

First Day of School PJS- My favorite pjs are from Old Navy. They are super comfy and last longer than a carters brand. These are super cute for the first day of school!
